Center Goals
1. Design, pilot and seek to institutionalize innovative, research-based programming and prevention efforts for the student community at Virginia Tech
2. Coordinate the strategic planning and implementation of Virginia Tech alcohol abuse prevention efforts in order to maintain consistency in the prevention messages promoted by offices and departments at Virginia Tech
3. Monitor and report to the University community, on an annual basis, the alcohol use behaviors of Virginia Tech students and the status of alcohol abuse prevention efforts
4. Serve as a consultant, provide support, and act as a clearinghouse for campus wide and Commonwealth efforts to prevent alcohol abuse among college students
5. Seek, local, state, and federal grants to support the development, evaluation, and dissemination of alcohol abuse prevention programs for college students
