CAAPC Committees
Campus and State Committees
As a part of our mission we serve on a number of campus and state committees that address alcohol-related campus, community ad state issues and concerns:
| University Committees | Virginia Tech Taskforce on Alcohol | |
| Stakeholders Committee on Alcohol Abuse | The committee oversees alcohol abuse prevention efforts on the Virginia Tech campus. The members of this committee represent the major university offices and departments that are currently involved in alcohol abuse prevention efforts. | |
| Town/Gown Committee | The committee discusses and seeks solutions for community issues with the goal of increasing communication and cooperation between the town of Blacksburg and Virginia Tech. | |
| Sexual Assault Task Force | The committee discusses issues related to sexual assault and other violence against women and plans campus and community events related to sexual assault. | |
| State Committees | Virginia College Alcohol Leadership Council (VCALC) | The council discusses commonwealth initiatives and plans commonwealth alcohol abuse prevention conferences and workshops. Council members include alcohol abuse prevention specialists and and representatives from various state agencies and other interested stakeholders. |
| College Alcohol Abuse Prevention Standards Committee | A group of alcohol abuse prevention specialists in the commonwealth of Virginia that is developing a set of standards fro alcohol abuse prevention in the commonwealth of Virginia. |
